Hoth or Bust is a Star Wars 137-page anthology edited by Cathi Brown.

The zine has a massive amount of art by Suzy Sansome, H. Gordon Bailey, B.A. Hale, Jenni, Barbara Mutul, Melody Rondeau, Sherry Veltkamp, Gennie Summers, Shayne McCormack, Richard Pollet and Wanda Lybarger.

"This zine is dedicated to the dreamer in all of us...."

This zine first asked for submissions in an issue of Universal Translator #16 in 1982 and emphasized that it would "conform to Lucas' standards." For more context regarding these "standards," see: Open Letter to Star Wars Zine Publishers.

The editorial:

I got already to run this thing off when I discovered that I hadn't written the editorial yet. I seriously considered printing it without one, but that's a no-no. So, anyway, here I am with absolutely nothing to say. Not impressed, eh? Somehow I didn't think you would be.

Well, first off no zine is a single effort. It's a group effort, from the writers to the artists to the proofreaders. So a round of thanks to you all. I also want to thank all of you for being so patient about the lateness of HOTH OR BUST. My intentions were good, reality just messed 'em up.

HOTH OR BUST #2 is in the planning stages. There's a Han Solo story by Christine Jeffords, and another of Ann Wortham's gems. And I promise to have "Storm In Every Port" finished for #2, even if I have to chain myself to the kitchen table during my non-working hours. (Why do I have the feeling that I'm repeating myself here? This whole paragraph sounds vaguely familiar.)

I'm coming up on the short end of inspiration here, so I think I'll close. Enjoy.
