Hilary Duff is an American actress and singer.
She is most well-known in fandom for playing Lizzie McGuire on Lizzie McGuire for three years (2001-2004). After that she starred in various film roles, namely Cheaper by the Dozen, A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice - although her singing career and clothing line career mainly took over after McGuire went off air. She continually guest starred in various other shows, such as Joan of Arcadia, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Ghost Whisperer, Community, Raising Hope, etc.
In October 2010, Duff released a book, "Elixir", in collaboration with Elise Allen. It had two sequels, "Devoted" and "True".
Fandom
During the early 2000s, she became a Disney Channel star and a positive role model for young female teens and preteens (like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez did for their generation).
