Sirius/Hermione is the pairing in the Harry Potter fandom involving Hermione Granger and Sirius Black.

Canon

Hermione and Sirius first meet in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Fandom

Despite the age difference, Hermione/Sirius ship originated prior to OoTP, and like most other HP pairings most of the Hermione/Sirius fandom continued even after that book was published.

Prior to OoTP, some of the main themes/tropes that were used:

• Time Travel - Either by herself or with another, Hermione gets stuck in the past during the Marauders Era where she finds herself falling in love with Sirius, and Sirius in love with her. In some storylines, Hermione gets returned to her time where she has to deal with Sirius.

• This usually helps people that squick at their age difference.

• Still in hiding, Sirius stays at Hermione's house was quite popular before Sirius started living at the Black family house with the Order. Due to her parents being muggles and probably not to keen on an older man staying with their daughter, Sirius usually stayed in his Snuffles form.
• Marriage Law - although usually to a lessor content than other HP pairings due to the fact that Sirius had broken out of prison. Most of them take place in the future where Hermione is in her last year of Hogwarts or post-Hogwarts.
• PWP, quite popular in Sirius/Hermione fics.
• AUs/Futurefics - quite popular, sometimes unintentionally just simply because all the HP!canon and no one had any idea how HP would end.

• One Futurefic example, is after all the pardons from the Ministry, Dumbledore (or whoever is presently Head of Hogwarts), asks him to join the staff. Hermione is usually Head Girl or an actual teacher in these types of stories.

Most of the above themes/tropes are still used even after OoTP was released, but it also started another more prominent storyline that sometimes even extends other non-Hermione/Sirius related fics. The prominent storyline is Hermione resurrecting Sirius (sometimes along with James&Lily Potter), either by going into the afterlife or performing a ritual/sacrifice. As such EWE/AUs are very popular.
