Hercules After Dark is a fanfiction archive for het Hercules: the Legendary Journeys stories with a rating no lower than R. The site was active from 1998 to 2000. It did not specialize in any particular character, but did require that the stories contain at least one canon character.

The archive was manually run -- authors mailed their submissions to the archivist in .txt format and she coded and uploaded them by hand, adding them to the stories page.

The archive also offered a beta reader/editor resource page, which included an explanation of what a beta reader does and a form form for people to add themselves to a list of volunteer beta readers for authors using the archive, and a link to that list so that authors could more easily find help with their stories. Beta readers were listed with their name, email address, favorite characters, and any special notes or restrictions that they wanted authors to be aware of up front.

The page was a member of the Hercules Fan Fiction Webring, the Hercules Webring, the Fantasies: Adult Fanfiction webring and The Adult Fan-Fiction Webring.
