Helena Handbasket has written in several fandoms, including Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, Young Hercules, Sherlock Holmes, The Sentinel, The Invisible Man and Stargate SG-1. Her story In Vino Salacitas was a Fan Quality Award Winner for Best Hercules: the Legendary Journeys slash story in 2003 at MediaWest*Con.
She was also a contributor to the Less Than Legendary Journeys site, which hosted Hercules: the Legendary Journeys and Young Hercules fanfiction by a group of writers (Ltlj, Naomi Prince, Liz Sharpe, Carolyn Golledge, Fyresong, Mary Crawford, and various pseudonyms) who wrote stories that were all part of the same shared universe.
She was also a member of the Fallen Grace's Tavern multimedia mailing list.
