The HP Femslash Ficathon (also known as hpfemslashfic, the LiveJournal community name) was a Harry Potter ficathon for femslash fanfiction.
The challenge's goal was "to get more HP femslash stories written, to encourage feedback, and to help fix all the writers block that's floating around!"
Since the end of the ficathon, fans have used the LiveJournal community as a general venue for posting or linking to Harry Potter femslash stories.
Rules
All participants make a list of their fic likes and dislikes (both for what they like to read, and what they like to write). I then secretly assign everybody somebody to write for. You'll be provided with their list of likes and dislikes and you can write whatever you like based on those. You can put your fic up in the community at any time before the deadline (June 5th).[...] It must include one of the pairings you have been assigned and fit in roughly with the person's genre requests. The fic must be at least 800 words long.
