Four Lobsters was the first Lotrips newsletter, covering news and activities of interest to members of the fandom. It did not list newly posted fanfiction however.
The newsletter was founded by Ghani Blue and was maintained together with Missiedith. The first issue was posted on June 29, 2004.[1] In January 2005 the keys were handed over to nothing_to_say, hanncoll and crediniaeth.[2] Four Lobsters officially went out of business on November 1, 2005.[3]
