For All My Life and Forever is a het Beauty and the Beast 76-page novel by UK author Avril Bowles. 1993 British Annual Awards: Best Adult Novella.
Summary from the author:
Vincent and Catherine's deepening desire for each other and the need to consummate their relationship places unbearable stress on Vincent. Both realise they're approaching a crossroads in their relationship and one night Fate intervenes. Will a new friend of Vincent's be able to persuade him to take that final 'leap of faith' with Catherine?
Author's Foreword
To those of you who have read my three CANDLELIGHT fanzines, a great big WELCOME! And to all of you who have written to me, THANK YOU for your wonderful letters and support. It is mainly due to YOU, that this new novella has been written. After all, if there are no readers out there, there's no point in writing...right?This is something of a departure for me, in that as well as being a novella, it is also what has become known as "a consumation story" with an adult rating. I have met so many of you now that I'm beginning to think I should write under my pseudonym in order that I can explore my Vincent fantasies uninhibited by the fear of raised eyebrows and hushed whispers of: "but she doesn't write things like that!" So now she does...okay!
If you have not read any of my work before, I sincerely hope you will enjoy it and come back for more. I hope it is apparent from my writing that I am hopelessly devoted to these wonderful characters we have all grown to love (especially Vincent!) and I live in hope, like the rest of you, that we may live to see them back on our screens one day either in a movie or new episodes. My grateful thanks to the talented artists whose work enhances the pages of this publication: CHRIS, PAT and UTA. Also, I am grateful, as always, to Gwen, Sheila and Kevin and the Council of the UK Chamber for their support and co-operation.
