For those of you who have, like me, been burned by a few too many five things fics, be assured that this is a five things fic only in the sense that the Sistine Chapel is a church. Also, this is mostly pre-canon, but written in a completely believable and yet extremely interesting way. Honestly, despite the fact that based on categories alone I’d normally avoid this fic like the plague, I truly think this is my favorite fic in the Due South fandom. One warning, if you have an embarrassment squick you may want to avoid this one. The whole first half of this fic deals with Ray’s many embarrassments in life. This is really a story about how Ray became the man he is in the show. And the journey is so terribly interesting. This is a must-read in the Due South Fandom.
