Re-Nomination

ConCrit Arena
Hi, I really enjoy the constructive criticism and feedback that naturally comes up when a page is nominated. I was wondering if there is, or could be, an arena in which we might submit a page, not for featured article, but to see where folks think it's falling short or if they know a better way to build up certain parts, etc. And then I suppose if a page goes on to get those fixes, someone may more confidently be able to nominate it for featured article! -JadedPrism (talk) 03:00, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
Batjokes
Small quibble but this week's FA blurb doesn't seem to directly link to the article in question (Joker/Bruce Wayne). Including a link in the blurb would make it easier for readers to access the highlighted article! Night Rain (talk) 11:32, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Scheduling Request
Could Anders (Dragon Age) be scheduled for the week of December 3-10 now that it's passed? I'm suggesting this week because Dragon Age Day falls on December 4, and I'd also like a little more time for some last-minute polishing, and to try to accommodate MomeRath's suggestions. Update to Nomination Guidelines
Hi all, Fanlore Policy & Admin have updated Fanlore:Featured Articles to improve the featured article nomination process. The process remains the same, but there's some clarity on how to ask for improvements and how long to wait before re-nominating an article that didn't pass. Here are the changes:
- Clarify what lead section of a featured article should have.
- An article that gets a lot of yes votes does not need to wait 3 months.
- New section: how to request improvements
- Staff policy and issue hold system
- Re-nomination cooldown: 3 months
- Cleaned up some language and formatting
You can also read the diff yourself. We also have a couple other things in the pipeline we'd like to add to the system, such as procedure for quick approval if an article has sufficient unanimous consent, sending more in-depth feedback to article talk pages rather than on the this page, and guidelines about restrictions eligibility for articles about living people.
