Some Excerpts

Well, I've been involved in fanart on Livejournal since 2003 when I first discovered Harry Potter fandom and slash. It took over my life for a while there, I drew lots of naughty fanart, joined fests, read fic, attended meet ups, went to conventions and wasted money I didn't have on merchandise.... xD Over the years, I've meandered into a few other fandoms (Stargate SG-1, House, Pirates of the Caribbean, Merlin, Star Trek XI, White Collar) and at present, I'm lurking in Sherlock Holmes fandom.

I am first and foremost an avid reader of fanfic, especially romantic slash, so that's what I mostly draw. Though I have branched out into gen, het, dark and kink when the mood struck me. Mostly I just like drawing sexy people doing sexy things to each other. :P

Comics are hard work! It takes time and a lot of planning to create a story in artform. Nevertheless, I've been struck by inspiration on a handful occasions and have put forth the effort to make a sequential piece - my favourites that come to mind are Fama Annus Sulum (Snape/Lupin, NC-17) from 2006 and A Tempest Brewing, (Severitus Snarry, PG-13) from 2009.

[Fandom has added to my life]: SO MUCH! I really feel it has shaped me into the kind of person I am today. I first got into online fandom as an escape from RL anxiety, and it was so refreshing to be able to freely express myself and to share my art and geeky obsessions with like-minded people. And my growing comfort and confidence in my personality slowly seeped into RL, and now here I am! No more cooler or hip in RL than I was back in 2003, but by god I don't give a damn. xP Going to Sectus 2007 and Azkatraz 2009, meeting so many fandomers that I've known for years via livejournal for the first time, hanging out and collabing FOR REALS with my fanart/fanfic heroes... best experiences of my life! :'D
