Reactions and Reviews

Nah, nah, nah. If Kirk can’t remember anything at all, why: “...and he was definitely not in space”—why would he think he ought to be in space? Wouldn’t his first questions be: “Where am I?” and “Who am I?” I am being given mixed signals. Does he remember or doesn’t he? To all accounts he doesn’t, but then his reactions aren’t what they should’ve been. Leaving that aside, it isn’t a happy story. In the end, Spock gets what he had coveted for so long, but at what price? Having to live the rest of his life knowing he had taken by force and betrayal what could’ve been his if only he would have had more patience. Is he going to atone for this sin the rest of his life? It’ll change him, it has begun already.[1]

ENSLAVER ENSLAVED by AT Bush is another bizzare story which takes place in the "Mirror, Mirror" universe. This story involves an elaborate, and extremely painful lesson for Kirk. The ending is well done and, for me, completely unexpected.[2]

"Enslaved," by A.T. Bush, is an AU story with some harsh scenes in it, as the title may suggest. However, although I personally do not like abusiveness in stories, this one had such a hard-hitting, powerful ending that I was able to appreciate why the beginning was the way it was. A chill ran through me for Spock when he learns that, in time, all debts have to be repaid. [3]
