Diana also known as Wonder Woman is an Amazon Warrior and Princess, superhero and from the DC Comics universe, native to the fictional island of Themyscera; and is the first child born there since the immortal Amazons lived there.

Based on myth of the Amazon Warriors of Greek Mythology Diana possesses special powers and abilities in addition to immortality. In the first stories she was the only child of her mother Hippolyta, who molded it from clay, asking the Gods of Olympus to breathe life into it. Over the years, her origins were modified in the different works in which she appeared, and more recently in live-action movies she was given the nickname of daughter of God of War, Ares.

While living with mortal humans, Diana adopted the surname Prince, becoming the quiet, bookish woman with glasses, measured and hardworking Diana Prince who once worked as a restorer of art and agent field for the US army.

Diana was routinely described and portrayed as a heterosexual woman, yet having been born on an island inhabited exclusively by women where men were forbidden and sexual tensions between her persona and other female characters raised questions about her sexuality. Recently with the introduction of the Superman animated film being created in the former USSR, Diana is said to be possibly bisexual.
