Daenerys Targaryen/Jaime Lannister, also known as Jaimerys, is the het pairing of Daenerys Targaryen and Jaime Lannister in the A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones fandoms.

There's such a rich potential for angst with these two. Beyond that, there's a potential for happiness, I think. Dany's bluntness and dry wit compliment Jaime's glib tongue and snark. I think humour would be the foundation of their relationship. It would be what broke the ice, as it were, and allowed Dany to see Jaime as more than the man who slew her father, and Jaime to see Dany as more than the Mad King reborn with dragons.

Canon

Shortly before Daenerys was born, Jaime killed her father, King Aerys Targaryen, whom he was sworn to protect as a Kingsguard. With the Targaryen dynasty overthrown, Daenerys and her brother, the last surviving Targaryens, went into exile in Essos. In season five, Tyrion, Jaime's brother, went to Meereen to pledge himself to Dany's cause. He eventually told her that Jaime had assassinated her father to prevent him from razing King's Landing and killing thousands of innocent people. In season seven, Daenerys landed in Westeros, intent on taking the Iron Throne from Jaime's sister/lover, Cersei. She and her Dothraki horde ambushed Jaime's army while it was returning from sacking Highgarden. Jaime charged at her with a lance after her wounded dragon was forced to land. The dragon thwarted the attack, but Jaime was saved from its fire by Bronn, who pulled him into a river. Jaime and Daenerys later both attended the Dragonpit summit arranged by Tyrion. Jaime asked her how large the army of the dead was, and she replied "Hundred thousand, at least."

Jaime and Daenerys have not met in the novels as of A Dance with Dragons.
