About

From the FAQ: "DIEF is a mailing list for fan fiction based on the TV series Due South. This is a fiction only list, for stories rated G to R (no explicit, NC-17 or X rated fiction). Stories posted can be gen, smarm, het, or slash, as long as they are are not erotica.

The list was created in the in January 1999 by James Walkswithwind, who had access to a private server, crucial in those days. It was offered in response to a call for Due South mailing lists with more open-minded policies. James responded with the creation of two mailing lists, DIEF, for gen and PG-rated het or slash, and DSX, for adult fiction and slash. (This was a departure from the usual practice of having g- through x-rated slash on slash lists and g- through x-rated gen and het on non-slash lists.) Both lists moved first to egroups and then to yahoogroups and are still in existence, though the traffic is greatly reduced from their heyday. Speranza is currently the listadmin on both lists.

Description from the Due South Slash Site:

DIEF and DSX

The master lists of all due South fan fiction. These lists are open to all types of DS fiction, splitting between General audiences, DIEF and adult erotica, DSX. These are fiction-only lists, no discussion. But unlike all the other lists around these do not limit what characters or season you will see represented. Nor do they distinguish between slash and no-slash which is very progressive. They are also the oldest due South fiction lists on the net. Both are housed on onelist.com and more info can be found on the webpage of co-list administrator, Anagi. [...]

For DIEF no age statement is required so it just takes a visit to DIEF on Onelist.[1]
