Compay Segundo is a Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan story by Gloriana. This story was first published in the zine Rituals and Meditations. The online version differs a little from the zine version because of insightful feedback by Lori.
Summary: The Ritual of Acquiescence proves difficult for both Padawan and Master. Three parts, 329K total.

Oh, what's not to like? The writing's wonderful, the sex is hot, the ritual is fantastic and the reasons behind it are both beautifully described and fit the story really well, Obi-Wan's nervousness, Qui-Gon's patience and inventiveness, the frustration on both parts when everything doesn't go according to plan. It's a great story, and well worth reading through all three parts, even if epic stories are not normally your thing (as they're not for me). [...] I almost gave this one a pass the first time it was recommended to me (by emmagrant01) -- the drama/romance category was never one of my favorites. *grin* As it turns out, this story is more about ritual than anything, and the ways Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan bond and grow together (and separately) through the experience. I'm a sucker for rituals, and this may be one of the best examples of a ritual I've seen in TPM fandom.[1]
Compay Segundo is a story about trust and how it works in a relationship. It's one of those "Master/Padawan ritual" fics, but this one has an interesting point to make. This story is in two parts.[2]
This fic draws influence from Swansong, recced above, though only in the idea of a sexual ritual practiced by Padawans before they can reach a higher level in their training. It has a lot of introspection, almost too much to read at times, but it also has some interesting insights into choices made in life that close doors to other opportunities. There are parts that are easier to skim than to read, but that doesn't make the fic not worth reading. It has hot sex, discusses interesting topics, and is overall a very enjoyable read.[3]

This is a wonderful example of a story where the sex is integral to both plot and character. And as an added bonus, mature and intelligent Jedi . This isn't cheap angst - these guys have depth![6]
