Claude Giroux is the current captain of the Philadelphia Flyers, the team he and Danny Brière played for together for five years. Giroux lived with Brière and his three children and two dogs for the 2010-11 season; however, Brière later replaced Giroux with a younger model[1]. During the 2012 lockout they played together for a team in Berlin, Germany. Brière was bought out by the Flyers at the end of the 2013 season and subsequently joined the Montréal Canadiens.
Fandom
Most stories (so far) are set during their time together on the Flyers. The three Brière children often appear in fic, with Claude co-parenting (Danny is divorced.) The difference in age and experience is often a reason why Danny is portrayed as reluctant to enter a relationship.
