Some Excerpts

I've having a blast this season. The thing I like most about the show is that it keeps pushing the creative boundaries and is willing to take chances.

To be honest, I can't remember. I read nearly 500 stories in three months and I'm not sure which one was first any more. <g> I started with A and read straight through to Z on Gossamer in the summer of 1996.

I used to have a problem getting Scully to speak to me, but I think I've begun to catch her voice by reading some very excellent stories by writers who speak with the voice of Scully and some very tough editors who are as devoted to characterization as I am.

I grovel at the feet of Meredith, Jill Selby, [Thalia D'Muse], Lydia Bower, Mesa, and Deborah Wells. Topnotch writers whose use of language, plot and characterization are simply amazing. I will instantly devour anything they write. I also snap up stories by Cathleen Faye (KiMeriKal), Suzanne Bickerstaffe, and S. Esty (Windsinger).

[Feedback is] the hot fudge on the hot fudge sundae. <G> There is nothing quite like the thrill of knowing that someone I've never met enjoyed a story or was touched by one of the themes. I can't not write, but feedback is the sweet reward for doing something I love.
