The server chaos.taylored.com, later chaos.x-philes.com, was the primary mailing list server for the X-Files fannish community from 1995 through 1998, and still hosts some X-Files related mailing lists through today. The server is privately owned and operated by Chael Hall.
The server has also hosted Gossamer archive-related functions, including a Gossamer main archive and all administrative functions for Gossamer.

- FicTalk: FicTalk was created as a companion discussion list for X-Files-Fanfic, and hosted much of the meta conversation about XF fandom and XF fan fiction from 1995 to 1998. The list was closed in 2006.

Server Funding
At several points during the mid 1990s, monetary donations were requested for the support of the list server. The requests were generally made when the server needed to be upgraded or replaced, and any money received went toward hardware purchases.
