Cannonball is a The Professionals vid by Ancasta. It is a slash vid with the pairing of Bodie/Doyle. It was first posted in June, 2006 and also posted to the vidder's YouTube page on June 1, 2008.

Vidder's Note: "This song just makes me melt. I love the lyrics and the wistful way Damien Rice sings them. This, to me, is about a man who is completely bowled over by love. He never saw it coming and now that it's hit him, he doesn't know what to make of it. It's as if he is almost powerless in the face of such strong emotion. I liked that as a theme for slash. This was my first Pros vid, done not long after I discovered the fandom. In canon, Bodie and Doyle are straighter than straight (if you ignore the camping it up, and flirtatious looks and touches), with a different woman seemingly every episode. So, for me, any sort of romantic relationship between them would be something that would come as a bit of a surprise to both men. Thus my reasoning for choosing the song. Now that I've worked with this fandom a bit, I question whether it fits the lads. It's a bit soft for their rough and tumble world. Still, the vid will always have a place in my heart as my first in Pros. And the song is so bloody gorgeous, who cares?

(ORIGINAL NOTE): When I decided I wanted to vid something for Pros, I was looking for a song that spoke about two people who loved each other, but hadn't realized exactly what that love was about. I adore Damien Rice, and after listening to Cannonball for perhaps the 50th time, I thought, 'Wait! That's it!!' I love the tentativeness of the lyrics and Rice's singing, the sense that the singer (in my vid, Doyle) is blindsided by his feelings, thrilled and terrified all at once. I like the helplessness of it all, as if the relationship is somehow destined. Yeah, I'm a romantic. So sue me.)"
