Reactions and Reviews

I really enjoyed this story. There seems to be less and less K/S offered that is done in a light hearted fashion, but once in a while I think its fun to break away from so many angst-ridden, dead serious stories.

I did have a slight problem suspending my belief long enough to accept that in Ms James universe, our busy captain could possibly find the time to build sailing ship models. Having built one or two in my day I've found that they take not only time but a hellacious lot of something that's not one of Kirk's strong points, and that's patience. (And I always thought he bought all those gorgeous ship models that were in his apartment in STIII:TSFS.)

However, for the sake of a K/S story I'm willing to accept any reasonable premise as long as the tale (no pun intended) is sexy and reasonably well written. Before preceding to a nicely written and suitably romantic ending, this one involves a mixing up of two silver tubes, one of the ever present lubricant and the other a concoction that's somewhat of an industrial strength super glue. The consequences are, of course, predictable, including McCoy's reactions, but its still an interesting peek at the subject of bonding. [1]
