Bittersweet Awards are vidding awards, focused on vids created for One Tree Hill, The O.C., and Gilmore Girls, and Dawson's Creek fandoms. In addition to awards, the site offers reviews of fanvids.

Michaela was the site's Webmistress, as well as a Judge. She also created the graphics and wrote many reviews. Vanessa and Juana were two other Judges.[1] There were four rounds of awards before the Bittersweet Awards took an indefinite hiatus. At one point, the site may have had an archive of vids entered in the awards.

Welcome to Bittersweet Awards!

Do You Make Music Videos? Are You Tired of Not Getting Any Credit for Them? You've Come to the Right Place! Bittersweet Awards is a site for vidders to exhibit their masterpieces and possibly win awards for them as well as get feedback on their work. Take a look at the rules and feel free to submit a video![2]

Rules

1. Videos must be about One Tree Hill, The O.C., and Gilmore Girls, and Dawson's Creek only. Any other tv shows won't be accepted. Crossovers between shows are allowed but are not preferred.

2. 3 Videos Per Round. This means that each person can only submit 3 videos per round.

3. Round Closes after 30 entries.

4. Please provide your real email address. If I need to contact you as a result of an expired video file or have a problem viewing your video, I need to be able to email you.

5. You may only enter your own videos. If you and another person work together on a video, it will be accepted as long as they receive partial credit for the video.

6. No clip theft. This is a matter that I will not take lightly. I bust you for it once, you get a warning. If it happens again, you're banned from this site forever. Taking video clips from other websites is fine as long as they are given credit. But you may not steal a clip from another video created by another person.

7. All videos may only submitted in ONE round. You may not submit your video again whether you win or you don't win unless drastic changes have been made. I know I used to say that if your video doesn't win you can submit it again. But that has changed.

8. Videos must be no larger than 30 mb. Any videos bigger than that won't be accepted.

9. Only videos in the following formats will be accepted: .wmv, .mpg, .mov, .avi, .rm, .ram, .dv. Compressed/Zipped Files are also accepted.

10. Please don't use a song with explicit lyrics throughout the entire song. Brief swearing will be allowed though.

11. No Pornography (not that there is any porn in OTH, OC, or GG)

12. If you have a website to host your videos, please use a proper link directly to the music video.

13. If you do not have a website, YOU MUST USE YOUSENDIT.COM TO UPLOAD AND SEND YOUR VIDEO. Any temporary uploading sites will not be accepted.[3]

Rule 14, listed the #Categories for submissions.

15. If you don't win, please don't complain. We will always judge fairly. It will be based upon the video not the vidder. And keep your hopes up. Just because you don't win once doesn't mean you'll never win.

16. In the RULES section of your submission form, type CLARENCE 41

The Best of Luck to all of You![3]
