"A Note From Your Friendly Typist..."

You hold in your hand the collection of creative offerings presented at the now-famous K/SMAS Party on December 11, 1982. To those of you who were at the party, this zine will give you a chance to re-read the stories, since it was hard to hear with all the laughing and screaming. To those of you who had the misfortune to not be at the party, we hope you enjoy the following pages.

Every effort was made to present the following creative contributions exactly as they were presented at the party, with a few notations; (a) can't anybody in this group spell?? (I corrected the spelling as much as possible given the problem of trying to read your handwriting); (b) speaking of spelling, I inserted an "R" in the title of Terry's "Chistmas" story; (c) would somebody please tell Kris that Kirk did not come from Indiana? Since all of the stories (and most of the other stuff) were put together in a very short period of time, these should probably be considered as 'first drafts' and the reader (whether you were at the party or not) should be understanding of this fact. No attempt was made by the typist to edit or correct anything in the stories other than the spelling.

[zine]: The Best Little K/Smas Zine in Texas, published in December, is another type of zine we’re seeing more of these days: a zine to celebrate a special event. When thirteen writers gathered for a Christmas party, the fun must continue in the form of a free zine. (As a note said: “This publication is Not for Sale at any price but we’ll share it with anybody foolish enough to ask.”) [1]
