This story (and the others in the series) pops up from time to time on fic searches, and I always remember it fondly. The series is sort of an angst primer, anything that can go wrong to keep the boys apart will go wrong up until the very end.

Yvette also created some engaging original characters that you want to root for, except for one whom you would glady smack silly. Overall, this series is a worthwhile way to spend a few hours wallowing in the boys' misery. [...]

Bear the Consequences was the first story Yvette wrote in the series, but she later went back and wrote two prequels that give some back story and flesh out the original characters. The story order is (1) The Lie, (2) Daen, (3) Bear the Consequences, (4) Aftermath, (5) Misdirection, (6) All I Wanted to Say. All can be found on M-A. The series rating is NC-17 and also contains Obi/OMC.

bear the consequences, by yvette. qui/obi, r, sw:tpm. makes sense until the very end, where it stops inexplicably without proper resolution. interestingly, obi-wan gets arrested in a bar fight and the whole thing starts with a great deal of bitter anger--more, i think, than is probable on qui's part. but the whole thing gets very interesting towards the middle, with their movement towards forgiveness and a twist which doesn't play out as i expected.
