104 attendees. Charities that year were Breast Cancer Action (BCA) and Project Open Hand and the event raised approximatively $500 for each. The concom announced that for 2009 they would host a one day event: BASCon 9 Overnight. A con zine was published that year.

Vid Show

Morgan Dawn transitioned the vid show curating to bradcpu due to declining health. It was Brad's first time organizing a vid show. His first submission to a vid show was only two years earlier when Morgan contacted him asking permission to show his Buffy vid Bullet With Butterfly Wings. Morgan Logan also left the vid show, and the concom took over the set up and operation.
