Before Seige III aired, SGA fandom was rife with thoughts and ideas on how each of the characters would get out of their predicament from the end of Seige II. As far as we knew at the time, Teyla had been captured by the Wraith and was probably imprisoned aboard a hive ship. Given that set-up, the author does an incredible job of weaving in some thoughts about what Wraith technology might be like plus some speculation on the effects of the Wraith gene and illuminates Teyla's character with it: her determination, her strength, and her willingness to do whatever needs to be done. She is no damsel in need of rescue in this story. Teyla can rescue herself.
