> Hi Minki, I am here and I just checked out your web site and I love it. I envy you getting to meet John Inman. He was here in Maine last year I think and I didn't > get to go. :((((

When he comes back to the U.S. again (and I wish I knew when that would be!) you have to get to meet him! He is the sweetest man ever! I just stared at him and grinned (he probably thought I was crazy!)

Hello Everyone,

I'm 12 years old and I've seen every episode of "Are You Being Served?". I watch it everyday.

December 13, 2005

Twelve and seen every one? I'm impressed! I'm 15 and have only seen about half, though I've been watching for only several months... You must have started watching it young.

I hate to break it to you, but at 15, you are pretty young, yourself. You have a long life ahead of you, to learn and find and do such wonderful things. We never had computers when I was your age, and look, now, what you can do. Pretty neat, hey?

We've lost another one...Mollie passed away. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8129617.stm

This has not been a good year for AYBS stars :(

I sent her a birthday card a few years back. I wrote a poem from her and printed it on a special onion skin paper. She sent the nicest thank you note. It's in with my prized possessions. She didn't have to do that. I can name a number of celebrities that have never acknowledged receipt of anything.

I really liked her.

'Mr Humphries! Are you free?'

'Freer than air, Mrs Slocombe - how may I help you?'

'Have you seen Miss Brahms? Oh, there you are!'

'I'm sorry, Mrs Slocombe, I didn't mean to leave you alone behind the counter, but I was called.'

'Call of nature?'

'No. It was Mr Humphries. He seemed a bit lonely here, so I came to chat with him.'

'Yes, indeed. We were just enjoying a most delightful tea. Please join us, Mrs Slocombe. We'd love to have you and there is so much to catch up on.'

'Well, seeing as there are no customers...'

Heaven is laughing tonight as we are left heartsore.

You are most assuredly missed, dear Mollie. But I am comforted to know you are in the very best of hands.

Mollie was the Grand Dame of British Comedy. I am chagrined that there has been no coverage about her passing in this country.

She will be missed.

Mrs. Slocombe, you ARE free.

RIP.

My local PBS station WLIW ran 10 second tributes to her for 2 hours during the Britcom schedule on Friday. That's how I found out about her passing, but it usually is from these reflectors that I learn such news.
