Description

Allslash is an all-fandom list for the posting of slash (same gender romantic interaction) fiction. An age statement is required to join. This list is for fiction only, not discussion. We do have a discussion list called Allslash-d (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/allslash-d) for the discussion of stories, episodes, etc. which you're encouraged to join.

ALLSLASH FAQ

This is the obligatory rules and information post. You'll get it when you first sign up, and it'll pop up on the list once per month after that. Questions, comments and general mumblings can be sent me, your humble list admin, at raec@....

To post to the group, use this address: [email protected].

First and foremost, Allslash is a *fiction* list, not a discussion list. There's a sister list for discussion called Allslash-d (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/allslash-d) where you can post story reviews, tape requests, and compare and contrast your fave fandoms.

Author feedback is very important, even if it's just a line or two saying, "I liked it!" (Hey, if we don't feed 'em, they stop writing!). To make it easier for you to do that, the list is set up so replies go directly to the poster and not the group. Accidents do happen, and some mail programs will send things back to the list. Try to be careful if you've got one of those programs.

You can post story announcements, fiction site updates and zine announcements in addition to stories. Do not post any jokes or virus warnings.

The focus here is on slash fiction, and that includes whatever your particular fandom or kink may be. But there are a couple of things that are absolutely not allowed -- underage (see below) characters being slashed and real people being slashed. It's not a question of whether or not I find it distasteful; it's a question of covering my ass as a list owner. If I see any of it, you're outta here.

"That's all well and good," you may say, "But what are the story posting guidelines?"

Glad you asked!

As a reader, I personally like to see a "part 0" post with the following information. If you'd rather put it at the top of part 1, that's fine too. But you *must* include it somewhere.

Title:
Author:
Fandom:
Pairing:
Rating:
Archive: Yes/No (and where, if yes)
Feedback email:
URL, if applicable:
Warnings, Spoilers and/or Author's Notes: (optional)

In addition, the subject line *MUST* contain the name of the fandom.

Definition of "Underage" - For the purposes of this list, underage is defined as younger than 16 years. This is the average legal age of sexual consent in the United States (where your list admin lives). Since this list is not involved in the "visual" depiction of sexual acts, it is not necessary to adhere to statute USCS 2252 ("Sexual Exploitation of Children") which requires participants be 18 years or older.

Last, but not least, a note on banning. For those of you who know me, I give one warning and one warning only. If a second offense occurs, guess what? You're gone. No ifs, no ands, no buts. That's just the way it is.

Thanks for your interest in Allslash! And now for the legalese:

Before you can join the list, I must receive an e-mail from you stating that you're over the age of majority where you reside. If I don't receive one from you within one week, your request will be denied.

By making a request to join this list and sending an age statement to the list administrator, you are stating that you are aware of the homoerotic content of the list.

Please note that if you are subscribing to both Allslash and Allslash-d at this time, only one age statement is necessary.
